About this extension
NoAds for Twitch keeps ad breaks out of your Twitch live streams.
When Twitch starts a pre-roll or mid-roll ad, NoAds for Twitch quietly switches the player to an ad-free version of the same stream and switches back once the break is over. You keep watching; the ad doesn't play.
WHAT YOU GET
• Blocks pre-roll and mid-roll ads on Twitch live streams
• Automatic recovery if the player gets stuck after a switch
• Optional in-video banner while an ad break is being blocked
• Blocked-ads counter and a "last 7 days" chart in the toolbar popup
• Works in Firefox for Android too (Twitch mobile site, Firefox 142 or later), including the mobile site's client-side ads
• English and German interface
PRIVACY
NoAds for Twitch collects no data. It has no servers, no analytics and no accounts. Your statistics and settings are stored only in your own browser. The only permission it asks for is "storage", to remember them, and it only runs on twitch.tv.
GOOD TO KNOW
• During an ad break the stream may briefly play in lower quality or buffer for a moment while it switches.
• Twitch changes its ad system regularly. If ads get through after a Twitch update, a new version of the add-on usually fixes it.
• Turn off other Twitch ad-blocking scripts or add-ons to avoid conflicts.
• Works on live streams. VODs, clips and highlights play normally.
SUPPORT STREAMERS
Blocking ads also removes ad revenue for the streamers you watch. If you enjoy a channel, consider subscribing, cheering or donating.
NoAds for Twitch's blocking engine is based on the open-source TwitchAdSolutions project (MIT license). NoAds for Twitch is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.
