Privacy policy for Nook for Mac
Nook for Mac by MattCorn
Privacy policy: https://nookfocus.com/extension-privacy.html
Nook applies focus rules chosen in the Nook Mac app. It processes page addresses locally and does not keep a browsing-history log, read messages, or upload page contents.
The extension stores current rules and a generated profile identifier locally. It sends that identifier, granted website patterns, private-window permission state, protocol version and rule acknowledgements to Nook on the same Mac using native messaging. If you choose to link a focus session on nookfocus.com, its selected task label, session identifier, duration and preset are passed to the local app. These local transfers are covered by Firefox’s installation disclosures.
There are no advertising trackers or remote analytics. Browser profiles and private windows have separate permissions. You can revoke website access or uninstall the extension in Firefox. Uninstalling removes extension data according to Firefox’s normal behavior; the Mac app’s saved focus rules are managed separately in Nook.
