It always shows a successful connection, then craps itself a few seconds later and reports "Failed to connect. Try again later.".

- complains "there is something wrong with my connection" even though I can browse normally without any VPN connection
- does not connect to anything (i.e. takes forever "connecting" just to fail in the end)
- connects but then literally blocks all possible traffic... cannot load a single page when it's onDeveloper response

They removed Socks and http servers for the country I used for years without notifying. So my only option to using a proxy in the browser only is this addon (without putting my whole connection over a vpn tunnel through the windows app).
Guess what, you can't pick which server you want to connect on this addon, only the country. Not only that, but disconnecting and reconnecting will connect you to the same exact server! So if the site does not work with given server, that's it, you can't select a different one from the same country.
I would rate 0 if I could, stay away guys. I have been a client of theirs for 5+ years but not anymore. Removing features overnight and forcing you to use this terrible addon is unprofessional.Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello. At the moment our SOCKS5 protocol is receiving an optimization rework. While this rework is being performed, the majority of servers have this protocol shut down until completion of the rework. You can still find some SOCKS5 servers to use here: https://nordvpn.com/servers/tools/, after that you may connect to the specific server via our application. -G.M. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16246520, 5 years agoJuly 2021: Yeah, it just stops letting me log in completely.
Barely works.
edit: More information in the litany of other complaints:
- Logs out frequently
- Speeds are super slow and unable to reset or connect to another server in this app.
- Often freezes and at a load, requires full close of all browsers to fix it
- "Failed to connect. Try again later." error for no discernible reason
- unable to select individual servers (like the desktop app) - heck, unable to see the server name to check if that server is good or bad. No way to just "connect to the next best server" if one doesn't work. You're left with disconnecting and reconnecting...
- Good lord are the speeds slow. Holy cow. Just thought I'd add that in a 2nd time.Developer response

Requires logging in all the time and randomly crashes. I deleted the extension for a while and just recently decided to give it another shot, and it's not better.

Works on Edge and Chrome but rarely connects to server and just is super frustrating to use on firefox

I pay for their premium subscription, and this add-on does not let me log in (the same credentials work on my mobile & desktop app), constantly locks me out of websites, and even locked me out of my gmail account, I've been unable to log back in it. Just stick with the regular software, this is just malware or some similar crap

This doesn't happen on Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
