Norton Password Manager by NortonLifeLock

by Krystalle, 9 years agoI loved using this add-on. It made life easier. What I despise about it is that every time Firefox updated, Norton's Identity Safe would no longer work for months...and months...and months. I had to use FireFox for school. I had tons of passwords I had to look up on the Norton Identity Safe website and write down individually. It sucked. I paid for all of the perks of Norton 365, not just the internet protection. It should work all the time or have a week of inconvenience at most. Norton has lost me as a customer.

posted 9 years agoHello - thank you for writing your review. The versions of Identity Safe addons for Firefox since late 2015 have been written using forward-compatible API's. Since then, we no longer need to rebuild for each Firefox release.

The support seems to be trying hard, clicking back and forth, WITHOUT success.
Just a reminder: This is about passwords, not a shopping list...!!
If I manage to remove my passwords I will delete the extension immediately!!! - Rated 5 out of 5by Janik Müller, a month agoTop, funktioniert alles. Sehr sicher, sogar mit Sicherheitstipps.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15428428, 7 months agoUNfriendly. Suddenly would not accept my password. Had to change it. It wouldn't accept that either. Would not let me change the email address that popped up into the correct one. Next time I will try MacAfee. Furthermore, it always opens with this message:
"Your vault password is not unique
Norton Password Manager identified a security risk with your current vault password. It is similar to a password or username you already use.
We recommend changing your vault password to a unique one to keep your information secure.
Your vault password is not stored anywhere or shared with anyone – not even with Norton.
Note: We are not aware if your vault has been compromised."
This is after Norton itself rated it as strong, and that it would take 3,000 years to crack.
You know this is simply poor programming and unacceptable management of the program due to sheer arrogance. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18917515, 7 months ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18982877, 7 months agoI don't like that I have to sign into my Norton account and then my password manager account every time I'm on line. I also don't like that with a number of my accounts it doesn't automatically pull up my information for logging in. Was very disappointed with this program.
