Old Reddit Redirect by tomjwatson

by mrklean, 2 years agoIs this some kind of protest or joke due to the third party apps protest on reddit?
Why on earth do all my Reddit links now redirect behind the scenes to https://old.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/media/nice_hat/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fond2117tbwgb1.jpg instead of where the should land. The hover text in the bottom left for the URL even displays the correct URL, but having this extension enabled redirects me to the aforementioend "Nice_hat" link.
Below is a video of the issue - hope I can pass imgur links

Developer response
posted 2 years agoThis is due to a strange redirect that is being performed on Reddit's end. A fix has been made in the extension to avoid this happening and should reach users as version 1.7.2 whenever it makes it through the approval system.

- Rated 3 out of 5by molly, 17 days agoSo suddenly stopped working today, apparently due to a "network policy" error, no idea what that means, I only want to access subreddits without making an account. Was a good experience until it stopped.

- Rated 4 out of 5by GloriousMane, 6 months agoCan you please update this to always force the desktop site on firefox mobile? Right now it loads the proper design but all the text is gigantic and I have to manually select "desktop site" every time.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13603872, 7 months agoAddon is working to direct me to old.reddit.com, but new.reddit.com does not work, but sh.reddit.com does. The description may need to be updated.
