About this extension

old-tube lets you filter YouTube by upload year so you can browse and watch videos from any era (2005 to Present) without modern algorithmic clutter. Currently this addon is in beta, and needs work but I figured i would release it.

Features:
• Filter by Any Year (2005–Present): Pick a single year (like 2007 or 2014) or select multiple years at once.
• In-Page Filter Bar: Quickly switch or combine years directly at the top of YouTube search results.
• Year-Matched Sidebar Feed: Replaces the watch-page sidebar recommendations with videos from your selected year(s) related to what you are watching.
• Strict Mode: Automatically hides YouTube Shorts shelves and stray out-of-year recommendations.
• Clean Search Bar: Applies date filters behind the scenes without cluttering your YouTube search input or tab title.
