This is really annoying and there should be a setting to either disable the notifications or rather than throwing the error notification, the extension can just the error inside it's extension modal.
.I think this extension can be a game changer for Obsidian for me at least, one of the issues of taking notes is remembering that you took them and surfacing them at the right time when you need them, searching for something on the internet and Obsidian simultaneously is extra work, this kills two birds with one stone and allows you to not only go back to your old notes but also update them with new info you get from the internet search, which makes your Obsidian notes even more useful. I just wish like Memex, the search window could be displayed to the right side of the search results in search engines like Google, DuckDuckGo etc., instead of having to manually click the plugin toolbar button.Developer response
posted 23 days agoHello, thank you for the review!
I'm happy to let you know that notifications have been entirely removed in the most recent version (1.5.0) of the plugin. My apologies for any disruption they may have caused.
The Memex-style search window is an interesting idea, though it's likely out of scope for now. Regardless feel free to create a new feature request, on the Omnisearch Companion Github repository. Thank you again for the suggestion! - Rated 4 out of 5by irwanwr, 10 months agoIt does work by showing list of notes/files relevant to the search query or address bar things. Unfortunately, it failed to open any of them after clicking on any of them on the list.

posted 9 months agoHi, thank you for trying out the plugin.
When selecting links, a popup will display in the browser requesting for permission to open an external link. It should open after confirming.
If this issue persists, please let me know and I'll do my best to help.
Edit: A bug was reported on the project GitHub page which highlighted an issue regarding a hard coded vault name in the code. This might resolve the issue that you had. Sorry that I wasn't able to notice this sooner! - Rated 5 out of 5by Poyo, a year ago
