One Click by Efiwe ("the extension") is operated by Efiwe AI Nigeria Limited (RC 8862290), Lagos, Nigeria.

This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it goes, and how long it stays there.

Data we handle

CV and profile data. When you upload a CV (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), the extension extracts its text inside your browser. This may include your name, email address, phone number, work history, education, skills, and any other information present in your CV. You may also enter profile details manually, such as GitHub or portfolio links, salary expectation, and availability.

Account and authentication data. Signing in with your Efiwe email and password, or with Google, creates a session. The extension stores the resulting access and refresh tokens. Your password is never stored by the extension.

Job page content. When you click Auto Fill or generate a cover letter, the extension reads the form fields and job description text on the page you are viewing.

Where the data is stored

CV text, extracted profile data, and session tokens are stored locally in your browser using the browser's extension storage. This data is namespaced by your account ID, so multiple accounts on the same browser profile cannot see each other's data.

We do not store your CV or profile data on our servers.

Where the data is sent

To fill a form, optimise a CV, or write a cover letter, the extension sends the relevant profile data and page field information to the Efiwe AI proxy at efiwe.c-b05.workers.dev. The proxy forwards the request to a third-party AI model provider and returns the result to your browser.

This data is processed to produce the response you asked for. It is not retained by the proxy after the request completes, and it is not used to train models by us.

Authentication requests are sent to our authentication provider, Supabase, solely to sign you in and load your Efiwe account details.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not transmit your browsing history. The extension only reads page content when you actively ask it to fill a form or generate a cover letter.

Your control over your data

You can sign out at any time, which clears your session tokens. You can clear your stored CV and profile data by removing the extension from your browser, which deletes all locally stored data. To request deletion of your Efiwe account, email support@efiwe.com.

Optional data

If you consent during installation, the extension may send anonymous technical and interaction data, such as error reports and basic usage information, to help us fix bugs. This is optional and can be turned off at any time in your browser's extension settings.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page and on the extension's listing.
