Privacy Policy — One-Click Password Generator
Last updated: October 18, 2026
One-Click Password Generator ("the extension") is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox that generates random passwords and copies them to your clipboard. This policy explains what data the extension handles. In short: it does not collect any of your data.
Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage data. It does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, ads or third-party services, and it never makes network requests.
Generated passwords
Passwords are generated on your device using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (Web Crypto API). Each password is written to your clipboard and then discarded. It is never displayed, logged, stored or sent anywhere. The extension never reads your clipboard.
Stored preferences
The extension saves only your password preferences: the length and which character types to include (lowercase, uppercase, numbers, special characters). They are kept in your browser's extension storage (storage.sync). If browser sync is turned on, your browser (Google or Mozilla) may sync these preferences between your devices, under that browser's own privacy policy. The developer has no access to them.
To delete your preferences, uninstall the extension.
PermissionsclipboardWrite: writes the generated password to the clipboard.
storage: saves your password preferences.
The extension does not access your tabs, browsing history or the content of the websites you visit.
Changes to this policy
Any changes will be published in this file, with an updated date at the top.
