by Daddy, 2 years agoI have the phone app for this, and I was very excited when I discovered the extension. While it doesn't have (or need) all the functionalities of the phone app - although I believe they are working on adding more - it does the main thing it is supposed to do (delay visiting a website). For me, this was honestly a huge deal. Just blocking websites using other extensions didn't work for me, I ended up unblocking them because I still wanted to visit the site itself. With this, it actively makes me reflect on why I want to visit the site, or if I want to visit it at all. I end up spending a lot less time on these websites, which I am very grateful for.
Overall, this extension has been a very big deal for me, just as the phone app has.
By the way, if you have similar issues with opening up apps on your phone and you have IOS - I highly recommend going to check out the phone app.
Edit in response to Frederik: Yes, I agree! The extension as-is works very well, being able to add websites to the list with a couple clicks, adjust exercise duration, and configure intentional switching is great and they all work seamlessly. Adding additional functionalities on top is just icing on the cake :)

posted 2 years agoThanks a lot for your feedback! You are right, we’ll improve the extension over time to add features from the iOS app. But we had to start somewhere, and I also thought that the extension as-is is already quite good in keeping you away to end up on distracting websites all the time. Thanks for understanding, and thanks for your support!

THANKS - Rated 4 out of 5by Sup3r87, 2 months agoReally good addon, but I am BEGGING to let the user set multiple messages as interventions. Imo it would help keep it a lot more fresh every time you catch yourself.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Opticad, 3 months agoThe mobile version is SO much better. I still really think it's good stuff, but I would love the option to sign in and have a fraction of the same features that the mobile version does (scheduling, re-intervention, even just blocking would be great!).

posted 4 months agoThanks a lot for your feedback! I am unable to reproduce this on my Firefox. Could you please send me a screen recording of this behavior alongside some infos (operating system + version and the Firefox version you're using) to frederik.riedel@one-sec.app?
Thank you!
– Frederik - Rated 4 out of 5by joshua, 4 months agoincredibly simple idea, incredibly effective.
whenever i open social media to scroll for a few seconds, close it again without seeing anything entertaining or fulfilling only to open it again and repeat it is incredibly irritating and makes me hate myself for doing it.
one sec lets me take a breath and realize that there probably isnt any good reason to do so and lets me go do something which will actually make me happy. wonderful extension, could not reccomend more - Rated 5 out of 5by Nícolas "N_Loco" R. Santos, 4 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Julien Sabotage, 5 months agoA perfect solution to catch yourself when your habits or auto-pilot kicks in. Doesn't outright block it, so if there is a relevant link to a reddit thread or similar it just adds a little loading time. But for the habitual visits to social media sites it's brilliant, and more often than I realize I just wrote the address to the site on autopilot but had no real interest in visiting it.
