by Daddy, 3 years agoI have the phone app for this, and I was very excited when I discovered the extension. While it doesn't have (or need) all the functionalities of the phone app - although I believe they are working on adding more - it does the main thing it is supposed to do (delay visiting a website). For me, this was honestly a huge deal. Just blocking websites using other extensions didn't work for me, I ended up unblocking them because I still wanted to visit the site itself. With this, it actively makes me reflect on why I want to visit the site, or if I want to visit it at all. I end up spending a lot less time on these websites, which I am very grateful for.
Overall, this extension has been a very big deal for me, just as the phone app has.
By the way, if you have similar issues with opening up apps on your phone and you have IOS - I highly recommend going to check out the phone app.
Edit in response to Frederik: Yes, I agree! The extension as-is works very well, being able to add websites to the list with a couple clicks, adjust exercise duration, and configure intentional switching is great and they all work seamlessly. Adding additional functionalities on top is just icing on the cake :)

posted 3 years agoThanks a lot for your feedback! You are right, we’ll improve the extension over time to add features from the iOS app. But we had to start somewhere, and I also thought that the extension as-is is already quite good in keeping you away to end up on distracting websites all the time. Thanks for understanding, and thanks for your support!

If possible, I would like to suggest a new feature I believe would be useful (to most people). It's the schedule. for me, it's useful to have this addon (as well as mobile app), enabled during working hours, as well as before sleep. But between that, I often find myself having to disable it temporarily. - Rated 5 out of 5by Avocadbro, 3 months ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by what do you want, 3 months agoi like the idea and it works decently, but it's a bit janky. sometimes it makes you wait twice, or it randomly pops up even if you didn't leave the tab. it's also annoying that it shows up even if you leave just for one second. last, the breathing screen needs overflow:hidden in the css so it stops showing scrollbars that it shouldn't.

posted 3 months agoHey, thanks a lot for your feedback! You could definitely try enabling the "Intentional Website Switching" feature. This prevents the intervention from showing up again when briefly leaving a tab for a different site. Hope that helps! - Rated 5 out of 5by dunxen, 4 months agoWorks so smoothly, doesn't interfere with website performance after intervention.
This is exactly what I've needed for my calm and focus.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Neko_Alan, 8 months agoI bought the permanent premium for this in an impulse from a video recommendation i saw from Ali Abdaal, and it wasn't that good. It got far better with the new intermissions they've added recently. It helps me control the use of those websites that hook me up for hours quite well like youtube, works like a charm.
