Open Spotify, Steam, Discord, Slack, Zoom, Teams and more in their desktop apps, with a dynamic-island style prompt.

About this extension

Visiting a Spotify track, a Steam store page or a Discord channel in the browser when the desktop app is right there? Open Desktop App hands the page over to the app in one click.

How it works
- On a supported site, a small dynamic-island style pill drops in at the top of the page, in the app's own colors (black and green for Spotify, navy and sky blue for Steam, blurple for Discord…).
- Click Open: the island animates while it sends the page's deep link (for example spotify:track:…), shows a check mark, then gets out of the way.
- Ignore it, and it closes itself after a few seconds. Hovering pauses the countdown.

Other ways to open the app
- The toolbar popup, which shows the exact deep link for the current page
- Right-click a page → Open Desktop App
- Right-click any link to a supported site → Open link in desktop app
- Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+O

Supported apps
Spotify, Steam, Discord, Slack, Zoom (meeting links), Microsoft Teams, Figma, Notion, Telegram, WhatsApp, Epic Games Store and Linear.

Settings
Turn off the automatic island completely, or mute it for individual apps, from the popup.

Note: the extension doesn't detect whether an app is installed (browsers don't allow that). It just tries the app's link. The first time, Firefox asks whether the site may open the app.

Privacy
No data collection, no analytics and no network requests. The extension only runs on the supported sites, and the only things stored are your own settings, locally.
