- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14585904, 6 years agoI have a fairly unusual installation. I am running Firefox Quantum on Puppy Linux 6.0.5. I am booting an obsolete, underpowered (Intel Atom processor) netbook from a 4GB flash drive. This enables me to view videos (where they usually hang with a more conventional OS installation). However, I was not able to get audio working with the videos until I found the "Open in VLC" extension. It took me a while playing around with the extension before I got the hang of how to get it to work, but now I'm pretty happy with it. It works very well with You Tube videos. The setup is the only way I have been able to watch any videos streaming from the internet on this laptop.
If you are having problems with videos streaming from the net, you might want to give "Open in VLC" a try. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13588438, 6 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 10343593, 6 years agoI just discovered this add-on. After the general mess-up and loss of functionality incurred by the firefox re-build, this is a happy surprise. Brilliant from where I'm standing. Thanks.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Azarilh, 6 years agoSo... why it opens the videos in 720p30 when the source is, for example, 2160p60?

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14305908, 6 years agoDoes not work on yandex.ru (video). Addon show movie as a files list. Opening first file from the list is the end of movie playing. List can not be loaded as a full movie.
