About this extension
Re-colours web pages so colours that collapse together for you stay apart.
Pick protanopia, deuteranopia or tritanopia, then set the strength. Strength matters as
much as type: correction tuned for complete colour blindness is too strong for most people,
and at full strength it distorts more than it helps. Most colour vision deficiency is
partial, so start low.
If you have taken a colour vision test on opticquiz.com, this extension reads that result
from your own browser and sets the strength for you. No account, no sync, nothing leaves
your machine.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
It makes no network requests. It stores one thing: your setting. It has no analytics, no
telemetry and no remote configuration. The only permission it asks for is "storage".
It is an aid, not a cure. It makes colours easier to tell apart; it does not give you colour
vision you do not have, and it is not a medical device.
HOW IT WORKS
The correction is a matrix applied in linear light via a CSS colour filter. The matrices,
the method used to derive them, and the benchmark used to test them are all public and MIT
licensed, including results that do not flatter them:
