About this extension
This extension puts the number of new messages in your Inbox on its toolbar icon while Outlook on the web is open in your browser. You see at a glance when mail arrives, even while you work somewhere else. The free version has no limit and needs no account. Pro costs $5.99 once, no subscription.
WHAT IT DOES
The number comes from the folder list that the site itself shows, so it matches what you see there. It updates as soon as that list changes, when a message arrives or is read, and it disappears at zero. The page title can show the same number, and the badge colour is your choice. The popup takes you back to your mailbox with one click.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Install the extension and pin its icon in the toolbar.
2. Sign in to Outlook on the web and keep the page open (pinning it is fine).
3. Look at the icon: the number is your Inbox.
FREE
• Inbox count on the toolbar icon, live and without a limit.
• Optional count in the tab title.
• Red, blue or grey badge.
• One click from the popup to your mail.
PRO ($5.99, LIFETIME)
• The popup lists every folder with its count.
• Choose which folders add up in the badge, for example a client or team folder.
• A desktop notification when new mail comes in.
• Several open accounts, personal and work, added up in one badge.
PRIVACY
The extension reads only folder names and their numbers from the folder list. It never opens, reads or changes your messages, and nothing is uploaded to the developer. Settings stay in your browser. The only data sent anywhere is the email you enter to buy or restore Pro, which is checked against the payment.
