About this extension
Page Dimmer adds a safe, page-level dark overlay to any website. It requires only activeTab (temporary script injection when you click the toolbar button) and storage (to save user settings). No remote code, no inline scripts, and no site-wide host permissions are used.
Page Dimmer is designed to be lightweight and privacy-friendly. Click the toolbar button to open the popup and toggle a dark overlay on the current page. The overlay is non-interfering (pointer-events set to none), so it doesn't block clicks. Use the Options page to change the overlay color and opacity; preferences are stored locally. The extension injects the overlay only when you explicitly request it — it does not run on every page automatically and it does not request broad host access.
