About this extension
Page Scout helps you move faster on the web without overreaching permissions. After you click the toolbar button, it can highlight every link on the active page and it keeps a small note for that site that only you can see. It stores your highlight style in Options and uses storage.local so the data stays on your device. It does not use remote code or external libraries. It injects a short content script only after a user gesture to respect page privacy and performance. The extension avoids unsafe innerHTML and relies on textContent and style changes only. Permissions are limited to activeTab and storage for a clean AMO review. Once installed, click the Page Scout button to open the popup. Use “Highlight all links” to outline anchors instantly. Type a note for the current origin and press Save. Visit Options to set your highlight color and outline width. Everything runs locally with a small, friendly footprint.
