The Passit add-on contains no browser tracking software such as Google Analytics. You may choose to use Passit with your own backend or with our hosted backend at app.passit.io. Should you choose the later, Burke Software and Consulting (the makers of Passit) will have access to both encrypted and unencrypted data sent. Master passwords, stored passwords, and notes are end to end encrypted. Metadata such as username and url is not encrypted. We also track API usage however individual IP addresses are scrubbed from our systems.
Should you opt-in to subscribing to our newsletter (which defaults to being disabled) we use MailChimp as our newsletter provider.
Passit has opt-in only error tracking. By default this is disabled for all users. However if enabled, error data may be sent to Sentry error tracking software. Users are never prompted to enable this and we recommend most users keep it disabled.
You may read our full privacy policy at https://passit.io/privacy/ which also includes our marketing site.
