Privacy policy for Paste for LinkedIn, developed by tornikeo (https://github.com/tornikeo). Effective October 14, 2026.
What the extension handles
When you paste in a LinkedIn post text box, the extension processes the image or video files included in that paste: their contents, filenames, file types, sizes, and last-modified metadata. It inspects the post editor’s controls and attachment previews to complete that action and restore your cursor. It does not read the clipboard in the background or collect your post text, browsing history, messages, password, or cookies.
Where your media goes
Pasting supplies your chosen media to LinkedIn’s existing upload control. LinkedIn may upload and process it immediately, before you publish the post. The extension advances the media preview for you and returns to the text editor. It never clicks Post. You decide whether to publish or discard your draft. LinkedIn’s privacy policy (https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy) governs its handling and retention of uploads.
What the developer receives
Nothing from your use of the extension. It has no collection server, analytics, advertising, tracking, separate account, or persistent data storage. Media is handled temporarily in the browser and passed only to LinkedIn for the paste you requested. The developer does not receive, sell, or share it. Data handling is limited to this user-facing function and never used for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or lending.
Your choices and support
Paste only media you want LinkedIn to receive. You can disable or remove the extension at any time in your browser’s extension settings. Manage or delete drafts and published content on LinkedIn. The developer holds no uploaded media to delete. If you contact the developer through GitHub or a store support channel, that service handles the information you choose to send under its own privacy policy. Do not include private clipboard content in support requests.
