- Rated 4 out of 5by vulpeitas, 24 days agoi found it very useful and very nice in adding the icons. i had a problem jusst bacuase i can't export anymore the json file. I like to have all my firefox istances sync'd with all the nice icons in the right palces.
Very good work indeed - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18652048, 2 months agoIt's rather tedious to add icons for every link manually, and it would save a lot of time if I could paste from clipboard instead of having to save it to a drive or search for a suitable image. More importantly, when I enable your add-on, I have to click into the search bar every time I want to search for something or visit a website I don't already have linked. Could this functionality be added back in? (double-checked and "accessibility.typeaheadfind" is True)

A brilliant idea, which reminds us that "simplicity is one of the attributes of perfection". - Rated 5 out of 5by timeconsumer, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14076223, a year agoReally great but I cannot select any themes even with "Allow Github" turned on. All I have is "none" as an option in the dropdown menu for themes.
Edit: I disabled and re-enabled the extension and that fixed the issue, although a browser restart might've also work if I'd tested it.Developer response
posted a year agoHi, thanks for your comment. If a browser-restart doesn't help, would you mind creating an issue on github.com/perfect-things/perfect-home/issues, or sending an email to the provided support email address? - Rated 5 out of 5by KKA, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by DDRitter, a year agoI'm loving it. Is there a way in the css edit to make it to display a fixed max number of columns? That would be perfect for me. ^^
Edit: Thanks for the response!Developer response
posted a year agoHi, happy that you like it. You can either set the max grid width in "Customize" section to be a multiplier of your desired no of columns (so there would be fewer columns on smaller screens) or set the fixed number (e.g. to 8) in css: main.bookmarks { grid-template-columns: repeat(8, minmax(var(--icon-width),1fr)); } - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17988542, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by webrangerl, 2 years agoI'm using it simply and it does just what it says it will and what I want it to do. It looks like I can get fancy, but I don't need to. Thx.

posted 2 years agoyou have to add them. Just drag an icon image from your desktop onto a bookmark. - Rated 5 out of 5by dom, 2 years agothis is exactly what i was looking for. best homepage by far - total customization in whatever way you like.
don't let the simple default layout and images fool you. you can make this look however you want and include whatever bookmarks (and folders of bookmarks!) that you want.
a HUGE plus is that you can backup and restore your customizations. couldn't be happier. thank you! - Rated 5 out of 5by apos, 2 years agoSearched so long for a good locking alternative to the scrappy old gui of firefox standard bookmarks.
VERY WELL DONE. NICE LOOKING. EASY TO USE AND CONFIGURE. FAST.
Also good for touchscreens :-)
Unfortunately not working with FF for Android or Apple. This would be the absolute killer app for mobile devices :-)
YES, YES, YES :-) Thanks so much. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16840069, 2 years ago

posted 3 years agoYeah... I've had the same feeling yesterday. I bought an iphone, which on apple's website shows nice apps, but mine just shows blank screen... (maybe I should turn it on somehow?)- Rated 5 out of 5by oldpiu, 3 years ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17239019, 3 years agoIf you don't want your favorites to be constantly sent to GOOGLE don't enable icons.
Also the fact that it can connect to Google without having proper browser permissions for that is very alarming.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThis option is disabled by default and must be specifically enabled by the user.
So, wait, you went to the Settings, clicked "Allow Google" to allow the extension to send requests to google (for favicons),
and are now complaining that the extension sends requests to google??? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14766181, 3 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by FrozenSolid, 3 years agoVery simple add-on, but very useful. You'd think you wouldn't need something like this, but speed dials/bookmarks have become extremely annoying and bloated with garbage you don't want or need. Visually very customizable as well as far as I can tell, but I've never needed to use it nor am I capable enough.
I've been using it for a year without any problems except with the last 0.13.8 update: The text on my bookmark titles used to be a clean more uniform size and truncated when it was too long, but now it adjusts text size based on how much room it has to fit the entire title making it look weird and unreadable.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThank you for the review. Yes I changed the text that shows up on "text thumbnails" in the last version. Before it was a combination of domain/subdomain, now it's the title of the bookmark. The reason was that on ad-hoc bookmarks that I sometimes add it was difficult to say which link was which. E.g. if you create bookmarks to let's say 2 of your emails in gmail - before the change - the thumbs would look exactly the same. Now they should contain the title (so the title of the emails) so they should be different.
There is, however, some room for improvement - like you mentioned - cropping the text that appears on a thumb should be helpful, as very long titles do look weird. That is something that will be fixed soon. - Rated 5 out of 5by Istamore, 3 years ago
