Private PDF Saver: Save Page as PDF by Localware

Save the page you are reading as a PDF, without sending it anywhere

Some PDF add-ons send the page to a conversion website. Private PDF Saver does not: Firefox makes the PDF on your computer with its own print engine, and the page never leaves it.

What that means for you

• Your page stays private: nothing is uploaded, and no outside service sees it.
• The add-on gets access to the current tab only when you use it. It cannot read your other tabs or the websites you visit.
• No account, no ads, no watermark.
• Pages you are signed in to save too, because Firefox makes the PDF from the open tab.

What it does

• Saves the whole page, not only the part on your screen. The exception is web apps that scroll inside their own frame, such as the Gmail inbox: they save only what is on the screen.
• Three ways to save: the toolbar button, "Save page as PDF" in the right-click menu, or Alt+Shift+P (Option+Shift+P on a Mac). You can change the shortcut in Firefox's add-on shortcut settings.
• Clean by default: no web address, date or page title printed in the margins. Page numbers, or the full header and footer, are one setting away.
• Paper size A4 or US Letter, picked automatically from your browser's language, or set it yourself. Portrait or landscape, four margin sizes, and background colours and images on or off.
• File names the way you want them: build a pattern from the page title, website, date and time, for example {date} {title}.

Privacy

• No network requests, no analytics, no account.
• Your settings stay in your browser.
• Permissions: the current tab, only when you use the add-on (to read the page's title and address for the file name), the right-click menu, and storage for your settings.

Good to know

• The PDF is made by Firefox's own print engine, so the page looks the way Firefox prints it.
• On some pages an image can be missing from the PDF.
• For Firefox on desktop, version 140 or later.
