- Rated 1 out of 5by Blue, a year agoHaving to occassionaly enter my Proton username and password at random times, which renders Firefox unusable until I enter that Proton log in information, is extremely annoying.
And btw, for some reason my Proton log in didn't work for this extension (I use a password manager, so not only do I know my log in info is correct, I was able to log into my Proton account via the Proton website).
I had to close Firefox and disable this extension. - Rated 1 out of 5by KnOwlEdge, a year agoRIDICULOUS decision.
A free addon for paying users.
Who on freaking earth, heaven and hell came up with this amusing idea?
And they don't even write it clearly in the short description right next to "add to firefox", which is as far as most of us go when downloading something with a good reputation.
Seriously, who can be so greedy and mean to make such an addon only available to paying users?
Another famous VPN also offers 10GB free monthly and they offer an addon for everybody.
It totally makes sense.
There are already enough downsides with the free account. Let people use the app, so they can see if they like it. Not everybody wants a system wide VPN!
So not customer friendly.
And their people in Reddit even removed my post when I was asking about this.
I swear I will never pay for anything Proton now. EVER. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18210921, a year ago

Is it paid in the browser only? I don't understand anything... - Rated 1 out of 5by KaptainCnucklz, 2 years agoYou have to pay to use the browser extension.
I would much rather just use the extension than be forced to install a program. - Rated 1 out of 5by Christopher_S_25, 2 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18032309, 2 years agoHave spent about 15 min figuring out why no servers are available on Firefox extension > only to find out that they dont offer it for free on Firefox. You can give it a try on Android instead. Really useless and wasting time if you want to use it on Firefox. They should have at least mentioned it explicitly.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Seth, 2 years agoI might be inclined to pay for Proton Plus if I could test the VPN extension. But I'm not going to pay for something that I cannot test.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18006238, 2 years agoI wouldn't waste my time installing this extension if it mentioned that it needs paying

- Rated 1 out of 5by Foxy, 2 years agoАбсолютно не работает в бесплатной версии. Зачем обманывать людей! Зря только время потерял на установку на Arch Linux и на расширение.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Anonyme, 2 years agoAucune possibilité de connexion sans abonnement payant alors que l'app Android / Mac/Windows propose des serveurs gratuits .
- Rated 1 out of 5by KaOus, 2 years agoThis is my first addon review ever.
I give it 1 star, because at the current time it has no use for me. It's paid. You get nothing free. I suggest to make it at least 10 minutes/ 1 hours a day free vpn.
If you add free stuff, I will edit my review - Rated 1 out of 5by Ümit, 2 years agoHello, I thought Proton VPN was a libertarian socialist, I wouldn't have expected it to make an add-on for paid users.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Steven, 2 years agoOpen source and all that nonsense just as an excuse to get email addresses?
Lures you with free use (See Website with the big Button "Proton Free"), although it is only for payment, which you only find out afterwards when you have already registered your email address.

posted 2 years agoHello, you can download and use for free the desktop application. The browser extension, for now, is a closed beta only for paid users.
