posted 5 years agoHmm I haven't implemented it on Android. But I may have mistakenly checked a box somewhere saying that Android is supported. - Rated 4 out of 5by Corwin, 5 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12985410, 6 years agoDoesn't work in waterfox. The YT main page attempts to load an infinite number of videos to fill up the empty space, which is a problem I also ran into when trying to use ublock origin and blocktube to block videos on the main page - YT just replaces the blocked videos with new ones until all the empty spots are filled.
In the case of this add-on & YT's main page, both sides refuse to budge, so the browser gets stuck in a runaway loop of trying to load videos that will never appear, which freezes all tabs in your browser until you take matters into your own hands with task manager.
I'll update this review accordingly if this major issue is fixed in waterfox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14614442, 6 years agoGreat add-on that has helped me with my productivity. Highly recommended.

- Rated 4 out of 5by WaveOfWaves, 6 years agoFantastic idea for an add-on! I totally recommend this.
Bugs/Issues I found (Version 3.1.1, Firefox Windows 10 ver. 71.0):
- suggestions/comments still show if a video is accessed from outside of youtube (google, whatsapp, pasting link, etc.)
- suggestions/comments still show if a video page is refreshed (e.g. to fix buffering), or accessed by pressing the previous/next page buttons
- suggestions/comments still show if a video page is accessed via the suggestions side-bar (that shows up because of the above points)
- once suggestions/comments show (while blocked), they won't disappear until you close all youtube tabs, and access the site again from the homepage.
Suggestion:
- Have an option to disable youtube autoplay as well (as it's another distraction)Developer response

I can't seem to recreate these issues, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out. - Rated 5 out of 5by Boonkers, 6 years agoNice. Works fine for me. Thx to author. One wish: keep it update cause Google (which become a very bad ugly company and totally lost respect among a lot of users) continues tries to breach personal boundaries enforcing people to watch content which they don't want.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15088918, 6 years agoNo longer works, it will block user uploaded videos but movies are now showing up on the sidebar. It's a good extension, but it just needs that bug fixed to be perfect.

posted 6 years agoThanks for the review! Movie suggestions should now be blocked as of this latest version. - Rated 5 out of 5by MrWolf, 6 years agoI watch alot of esports, this helps remove the spoils in comments and sidebar videos.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14773823, 6 years agoWas looking for this feature for so long. Youtube recommendations are just disctracting so much, now they are finally gone! Super must to have Addon.
- Rated 5 out of 5by narkro, 6 years agoI didn't even have to reload the page for this to block not only the sidebar videos, but the end-of-video suggestions as well.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Andre Bell, 6 years agoI would like to report this add on. For being awesome!!! Works perfectly to eliminate sidebar 'suggested' videos. Theater mode wasn't cutting it. The distracting suggestions would still show up esp if/when the controls mysteriously vanished in theater mode and had to revert to normal mode...thus seeing the rabbit hole distractions again. So far so good. Thx
UPDATE: AdBlocker Ultimate breaks this add-on. Just an FYI in case anyone using AU says this add-on doesn't work - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 5979009, 6 years agoGood overall, but there's a bug in the current version, when comments are blocked search results don't show up too.

posted 6 years agodone! latest release (3.0.0) adds the option to hide comments :) thanks for the tip- Rated 5 out of 5by sBRB4Q7, 6 years agoThanks for this!
Youtube suggestions are more than likely unrelated to the video or videos you're watching. It's especially bad if you clear out your browser often, like every time you close it. I finally had enough and searched for an extension like this, and here it is!
I don't think there are others like this, at least not the last time I checked AMO. - Rated 5 out of 5by qqrm, 6 years ago

posted 6 years agoDid not know about disabling polymer, thanks! I'll work on getting this addon to work with polymer turned off.
Edit: recent version (2.2.0) makes it work with polymer off- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14608880, 6 years agoThank you for this awesome add-on. Now I don't have to sue YouTube and the idiots that run it.
