by PERCE-NEIGE, 6 years agoGood to use it sometimes (not always!) to save time, while reading long articles and you are in a hurry, and you want only to understand what the text talks about. The resume is not always relevant, but at least, it's shorter...
It's good because you can use it in several languages, so it's also good to help to learn languages.
The extension is far from being perfect (at least in its non paying version). The formatting should be improved, and the % of summarization is weird. tI can be changed easily, but the list of the available % is weird. Sometimes I get 19% as the minimum, and on a (normal) Wikipedia page, I only got the choice between 0% (nothing) and 13% (only a sentence)!
If I could change the keyword from there, click in the text, or enter a keyword, it would be better also.
There's also an online page with more options, you can use keywords: https://resoomer.com. To use keywords, you have to type the text, click on the "resoomer" button and then, you have access to more options, like manual resume and keywords. I wonder why these useful options are not integrated in this addon.
There's a paying version for long texts: https://resoomer.com/en/premium/
Suggestion: make the keyword appear in another color in the resume. It's shorter, but the way it's formatted doesn't make it always easier to read than the source page.
@Kwhitefoot You have an adjustable %of the length limit. (% of summarization), it's not a word limit, but a % limit. I think it's the same.
