Resume Auto-Filler (“we”, “our”, or “the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when using our Chrome extension.
- All resume data, contact information, and PDF files are processed and stored 100% locally on your device inside Chrome’s secure sandboxed storage (
chrome.storage.local). - We do NOT operate any external tracking servers, databases, or analytics services.
- Your resume content and personal data are never transmitted, sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
When you upload a PDF resume, the extension locally extracts and stores:
- Full Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- LinkedIn and GitHub profile URLs
- The PDF resume file (stored locally in base64 format solely to attach to application forms on your request)
- Pro license activation status and usage counter
storage&unlimitedStorage: Used exclusively to save your parsed resume fields and PDF locally in your browser so you don’t need to re-upload on every application.activeTab: Used solely to detect and fill input fields on the active job application tab when you click “Autofill Form”.<all_urls>(Host Permissions): Necessary to support filling job application forms across all hiring portals and company career pages (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Taleo, custom career sites).
Payments for Pro licenses are processed securely through PayPal. We do not collect or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or financial information.
You can delete all stored data at any time by:
1. Clearing your extension storage, or
2. Uninstalling the extension from your browser (
