RF Sampler is an unofficial tool (not affiliated with Radio France) for personal use.
What it does
- Detects the audio file of the podcast episode shown on radiofrance.fr and lets you download it (m4a or mp3, as published).
- Opens a trimming editor: waveform and spectrogram, time scale, draggable start/end guides, preview, then export the excerpt without re-encoding or as MP3.
Privacy
- Everything runs in your browser. No data is collected or sent anywhere, no analytics, no remote code.
- The only network requests go from your browser to radiofrance.fr and radiofrance-podcast.net, to read the page and fetch the audio file you ask for.
Permissions
- activeTab / scripting: read the episode page you are viewing, when you click the icon.
- webRequest: detect audio requests made by the site's player (read-only).
- downloads: save the file. storage: keep detected links in memory during the session.
- Access to radiofrance.fr and radiofrance-podcast.net: detection and download.
