by Firefox user 13321745, 8 years agoIf you read these reviews carefully, you'll see that most of the 5 stars are for the old version. The new version isn't nearly so good. The toolbar I accept has to be at the bottom, but why do we have to re-enable it every time we clear cookies? The old one didn't used to disappear like that. Nor do my other addons disappear every time I close Firefox. They remember their settings. Why can't Roboform?
Or if this is really beyond Roboform's coders, then why not have two versions, as someone else suggested. One version for those who want the toolbar and one for those who don't. It would be such a simple coding job to make that small adjustment. But too difficult for Roboform, apparently.
Then, unfortunately, you can't auto-fill your passwords for so many sites with the new version. The old one used to work perfectly with Gmail, for example, filling in your username as well as your password, even after it changed to two screens. Gmail must be one of the most visited login pages on the internet, and yet Roboform can't cope with it. Not to mention many other less common sites, like the popup for Cpanel, which the old version used to handle smoothly.
Shame, this used to be such a good tool, but I will be looking for a new solution next time my renewal comes up. I'm not paying for this again.
Bottom line, if you're new to Roboform and come with low expectations, you'll like it. It's better than nothing, definitely. But if you're "upgrading" (ha!) from the previous version, you won't like it at all.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17671452, 15 days agoI've used Roboform for years, on all kinds of platforms and OS's. It's been absolutely invaluable and completely secure (knock wood). It could be improved from a user experience POV on IOS, but I suspect the Apple security restrictions have something to do with that.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15276543, 19 days agoI have used RoboForm for many years but it no longer works after updating to Windows 11. It does not login to any site directly from the RF app. The customary pop-up when on a website's login screen does not appear. Logins are reduced to copy/paste from the RF app into the website's login form.
Recommend against anyone wasting their time with the app. Too bad - it was previously a very capable and reliable app. - Rated 4 out of 5by AcidGlow, 19 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16624710, 21 days agoI'm not sure why there's so many negative reviews. I've been using Roboform for at least ten years, probably longer, and I rely on it every single day. I believe it could be the most secure password manager available, although I'm not willing to spend a bunch of time trying others out just to verify that. In all the time I've used RoboForm they've never, as best I recall, had a breach of accounts and/or user's credentials, something other bigger, maybe better known, PW managers can't say. Yes, RoboForm's interface may not be perfect or work exactly the way everyone might like it to, but it's never failed me. And, it's worked seamlessly from the version that I used it on first with Windows (95 I think?) all the way through the latest builds of Windows 11 Pro. It also works perfectly on my iPhone 14, three different iPads and my MacBook Pro M3. Spend just a little extra time getting to know it, and you'll most likely become very satisfied. I doubt I'll ever use or need a different password manager for all my devices. It just works. Great.
