posted 7 years agoHello Atherworld.
Can you please send me the specific page, where I could reproduce this? You can use either support page or email listed on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/rotate-and-zoom-image/. - Rated 4 out of 5by Ikeypoo, 7 years agoThis works nice, but there were many quality of life features that I used a lot from the last image zoom addon I had.
Do you think you could add them?
The features were:
hold right click on the image then scrollbar up/down to adjust zoom level, including out and in.
hold right click then left click to give you max visibility zoom, to resize the image to fit your page.
hold right click then scrollbar click to reset to normal
These were some of the most valuable features in my opinion, and they made my life so much better.
Overall, your product does what it says it does and does it well.Developer response

At this moment there is no support for mouse gestures. :/ I would like to add it in the next major release, but I did not have time to schedule it yet. - Rated 3 out of 5by circcc, 7 years agoThis addon support only zoom in.
Please add zoom out, that is 25%, 50%, 75%.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThank you circcc for expressing interest in a new feature. There is a ticket already opened https://github.com/MikkCZ/rotate-and-zoom-image/issues/15. I hope to get to add this soon (to add downscaling images would be pretty easy, but I would like to make the percentages completely configurable by the user ;) ).
EDIT: Image downscaling has now been added in 1.4. - Rated 5 out of 5by TurboLion, 7 years agoAfter using "Image Zoom" for quite some time, I finally found an alternative that works with Firefox 57+! Really hope options for downscaling (75% and 50%) would be added somewhere in the future :-)

posted 7 years agoThank you TurboLion for your feedback. I have added downscaling to my backlog. I am not sure about the need of this use case, but it should be perfectly doable by enabling custom transformation in the add-on preferences, which should be perfect for this.
EDIT: Image downscaling has now been added in 1.4. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vip3re, 7 years agoI had high hopes, searching endlessly to replace "Thumbnail Zoom Plus" addon, that zoomed the linked images, giving the full size, I used this with IMDb, was very useful there. I don't think this will ever be possible again with multiprocess, nothing I've tried works. But you did a very good job there, it does what it's supposed to do.

Thank you for the review.
What you have described is definitely doable with the new WebExtensions API. The hardest problem would be to determine the URL of the full size image, if it's not in the HTML source somewhere. We are having a WebExtensions workshop in about a month. I will bring this type of extension there as a suggestion, what the participants can do.

P.S. If you need it jsut for IMDb, try https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/imdb-plus/, maybe it will help. - Rated 4 out of 5by ziggar.uk, 7 years agodoesnt work on ebay or facebook where its probably needed the most.......................
after an update it now works with ebay and facebook within the restraints of those sites. so much better now and worth installing. can only get better with time.....hopefully....Developer response
posted 7 years agoHi ziggar.uk. Thank you for spotting the issue. I have made a quick fix for Facebook, which should work for eBay too. It's in version 1.3.1, which is now in the addons.mozilla.org review process and should be available soon. If you have Rotate and Zoom Image still installed, just try to update it https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-update-add-ons
If you still see the issue, please contact me directly via the support email on the right side of this page.
EDIT: The new version is now approved and available for update/install.
