- Rated 4 out of 5by quicksite, 21 days agoIt works really well, thankfully, speeding up the process that should be native to Firefox. But it has a real usability problem. By your choosing to not give it an icon --- any icon, even just a blank square --- it is easy to miss this option when invoking the context menu, especially for users who have a lot of context menu features added. It does not Left Justify like every other context menu option. ... I see that this was last updated in April 2022, and maybe dev had other software to attend to, which i can understand. But just this minor tweak would make it the perfect 5-star extension, and greatly improve intuitive usability. Thank you Will.

- Rated 5 out of 5by save-as-pdf-with-background, 2 years agoThis add-on does what it promises. There's one catch: it doesn't make a pdf with the background colors or images. I guess this might be a preference of the developer, but for my purposes I would like the background images and colors. Otherwise a simple and effective addon

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13524479, 2 years agoI tried on plenty webpages. The resulting pdf never has anything to do with the webpages organization.
Web being responsive now I understand it's really hard to code such a tool. But given how useless it is I don't really understand why it even exist...Developer response

Ouch! 🙃
Lots of websites don't pay much attention to their print styles but this plugin uses those print styles to render the PDF - what you see in the PDF is most likely the same as what you would see if you were to print page. Some websites, on the other hand, do a good job - articles on Wikipedia and MDN docs, for example, look quite nice when saved as PDFs.
Some solutions:
- If you are having trouble with a web pages on particular websites, let the organization behind that website know they should support print styles.
- If preserving the look of the website is the highest priority, consider using screenshots - it's possible to capture the full page this way: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/take-screenshots-firefox (although the screenshot would not have links and selectable text) - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15039476, 3 years agoVery simple to use but the PDF files are kind of ugly. So far the best pdf save feature I've used is the one in Opera. Sadly, Opera is not private and secure enough.

posted 3 years agoWhat makes the PDF files kind of ugly using this extension with Firefox, but not-so-ugly in Opera? For example, is it the fonts, borders, or something else?

- Rated 3 out of 5by Shadouness, 5 years agoStill looking for alternative to PDF Mage that retains links. This one DOES NOT retain hyperlinks.
Produces same issues as other PDF printers (like first page of my test print was empty.)Developer response
posted 3 years agoHyperlinks should be working now. (They depended on the Firefox and its PDF printer supporting them). - Rated 3 out of 5by grahamperrin, 5 years agoFreeBSD-CURRENT: working with Firefox 71.0 but not with Waterfox Classic 2019.10. No dialogue after the context menu option is chosen.
Would you like to provide contact details for support?Developer response
posted 5 years agoThank you very much for pointing out the issue with Waterfox Classic. I'll see what I can do about that.
I'm happy to watch the reviews and provide support here directly ✅
* Update: I believe I have found and fixed the error in Waterfox in the latest version of the add-on.
