Screenshot Anything processes screenshots, crops, masks and ticket labels in extension memory and does not transmit them or keep browsing history. Clear/delete or editor close/reload drops active ticket data; browser memory disposal is not physical erasure. Exported images remain as normal downloads. With optional host/data consent, only an anonymous purchase key is sent to the fixed product entitlement endpoint; the backend stores its hash and payment identifiers/status. PayPal handles account details; providers may process connection/security logs. The key remains in extension local storage until removed or a verified recovery replaces it. No paid flag is cached. Recovery files are password-encrypted and stay local; passwords are not stored. A different recovered key is checked with the backend before replacement.
