About this extension
Scroll Loom turns a measured document scroll range into one transition. Define Before and After values for vertical position, scale and opacity, choose an easing curve, and set start and end scroll positions. Picking an element estimates an initial range from its position; those numeric bounds are saved as part of the design. Adjust them to suit your page. The end must be at least ten pixels after the start.
Link the preview to actual scroll or scrub a fixed percentage to inspect a moment. Scrubbing pauses the scroll link; Link to scroll resumes it. Scroll events are coalesced into one animation-frame update instead of rebuilding the studio. A range beyond the available document scroll cannot reach 100% until adjusted. The practice canvas has its own scroll region; the on-page studio uses document scroll.
Export a target class plus a short JavaScript driver for your own document. The driver clamps progress, coalesces scroll updates, respects reduced motion and cancels its animation on page exit. Custom scrolling containers require adapting the exported driver.
Use the built-in practice canvas first, then click Open on this page to open a small studio on the current ordinary webpage. Pick one suitable element and preview a temporary effect. Stop / Restore or closing the studio cancels its effects and leaves the original inline styles and page animations intact. Preview can temporarily mask the selected element’s existing animated properties; a plain wrapper gives the most predictable results.
Your validated design is saved locally. Backup exports JSON, restore requires confirmation, and a reset requires confirmation. The selected element, page text, URLs and element selectors are not saved. Navigation requires selecting again. Disappearing elements are released. There are no accounts, analytics, remote code, external assets or network requests. Copy writes code or backup text only after your click; the clipboard is never read. Reduced-motion preferences stop live preview and are respected in exported code.
Code exports are intended for files in your own project. They do not permanently edit a visited website. Browser internal pages, extension stores, embedded frames and form inputs are outside the supported picking workflow. Existing transforms, page styling and browser restrictions may affect preview. This is a focused visual tool for one element, not a whole-page animation framework.
