Sharpe Privacy Policy

1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Sharpe was built with a strict "local-first" philosophy. We believe your financial data is yours alone. This Privacy Policy explains how the Sharpe Chrome Extension interacts with your data.

2. Data Collection & Storage (We Don't Collect Your Data)
Sharpe does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal information, financial data, or portfolio details. The developer of Sharpe has zero access to your data.

• Local Processing: All calculations, chart generations, and portfolio insights are processed entirely locally on your own machine within your browser.
• No Telemetry: We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking software to monitor how you use the extension.

3. How the Extension Works
To function, Sharpe securely reads the data already present in your active DEGIRO browser session. It only communicates with two types of servers:

• DEGIRO: To fetch your current portfolio, transaction history, and active session tokens directly from your regional DEGIRO domain (e.g., trader.degiro.nl, trader.degiro.fr, etc.).
• VWD Services: To fetch the historical price charts for your assets (via charting.vwdservices.com), which is the exact same data provider DEGIRO uses.

This communication happens directly between your browser and those services. Your data never passes through any servers owned by Sharpe.

4. Permissions Justification
Sharpe requests the following browser permissions for these strict purposes:

• storage and unlimitedStorage: Used exclusively to cache historical price data locally on your machine so the extension loads faster and reduces network requests.
• windows: Used solely to open a secure popup window for the Ko-fi donation widget if you choose to support the project.

5. Changes to this Policy
If we ever add features that change how data is processed, we will update this policy and notify users through the Chrome Web Store extension update notes.
