- Rated 5 out of 5by Bflat, 3 years agoI can't toggle the comments in Twitch. If the extension is enabled, the chat is gone, and toggling the icon changes nothing.

- Rated 2 out of 5by hunterjames, 4 years agoI love the concept and it does exactly what it says on the tin: block the comments. Except that the 'click to show comments' doesn't work and the only way I had to do that was to uninstall the extension so unfortunately I can't give it more than 2 stars

- Rated 5 out of 5by MD_Arch, 4 years agoOne of most useful extensions nowadays (for misanthropes like me)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Wokipokei, 4 years agoClick install button, comments gone, mood better. What more can I say? Really simple and you can reenable comments with a click of a button too.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Savannah, 4 years agoDoesn't seem to work with Quora, LessWrong, or Tokyo Otaku Mode, but otherwise seems to work very well.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Sans Undertale, 4 years agoYou don't necessarily need this extension if you have Ublock Origin installed (which features an element picker that can do away with virtually any comment section you come across) but if all you really care about is blocking the comment section universally then this is all you need.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Sky Gemini, 4 years agoSo far, so great! Thank you, I can finally scroll through my recommended sidebar without being subjected to idiotic comments on YouTube. When I bother wasting time to respond, YT deletes my posts while leaving the troll garbage up. It's so much better now.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Kelza, 4 years agoFarewell, vitriolic, idiotic wasteland. Such a distraction, such a depressing thing to contemplate. I can't believe I didn't install such an add-on YEARS ago.
Finally... - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16461100, 4 years agoHas its quirks but it might be the best add-on since sliced bread!
- Rated 5 out of 5by vlad, 4 years agoThis app saves you from imposing of meaningless comments. I think, when I follow journalists or another creators I do not follow random people who write comments which I can't hide. Thanks you, Ricky Romero, for this app.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13253671, 4 years agoSimply using the toggle button doesn't work anymore. I don't know what happened, but I have to close my browser for it to change.

posted 4 years agoThat's really weird – I don't see this problem on my system. Does the problem go away if you remove and reinstall Shut Up? If not, does it only happen on certain pages or all of them? Let me know what you find.

- Rated 5 out of 5by planescaped, 4 years agoBeen telling myself for months I should try avoiding youtube comments, as they're often depressing and infuriating, yet I always just wander into them.
This does exactly what it says it does, and is handy if you're trying to decrease your intake of the landfill of idiocy modern interwebs has become. Re-enabling them is just a click in the top bar away, but it is much nicer not having them there by default... - Rated 5 out of 5by magnetite, 4 years agoSome sites like Quora or Youtube have nested comments, so when you hide them all of them disappear. However, when you expand them again, it doesn't seem to expand the part if the person has written a lot of information. On Quora, it's labeled as (more) and on Youtube it's called "read more". You have to manually click on the "read more" or "more" in order to expand the whole comment.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16089416, 5 years agoAmazing addon, but I notice it's not working in Google Drive. even when I disable the addon there, I can't see the comments highlighted in the text.
(UPDATE: it wasn't working using the shortcut, but then I put it in the bar and pressed to enable comments in drive)
