- Rated 5 out of 5by stivan81, 4 years agoThis one is unspeakably fantastic. Visually simple and absolutely brilliant. Takes a little time and effort to set up and figure out the way configure/modify, but once it's done and you start using it, it is by far the easiest way to navigate around your saved links.
My main problem is that I have moved away from Firefox (got too slow, unfortunately) and now I cannot find any replacement that comes close to this one. I would deeply appreciate if there is a way to migrate to another browser (Edge or Chrome would both be fine), I'd even be willing to pay some money for that. - Rated 3 out of 5by Bob Jr, 5 years agoI like this add-on but I have no idea how to change a button image. can you please assist with this?
Played with it after reading below and I figured it out, wow... not bad - Rated 1 out of 5by KIMby, 6 years agoКак все просто было с GOOGLE SHORKUTS и как все непонятно и противно в этом корявом дополнении! Чтобы пользоваться мозиллой мне нужно учить JavaScript? А какой дебил придумывал клавиатурные сокращения для этого дополнения?
- Rated 5 out of 5by Mr_Rubot, 6 years agoWorks but need better instructions for changing button image. I would like to see options for background color, number of columns and a column wide spacer/divider.
The problem with changing icons was mine, now understood. A spacer/divider would be helpful in defining task groups.
Do you have a support site or Github? I can explain more and provide examples.
Edit:
Divider looks ok. Try using colors that match Aris-t2 separator:
top: 1px solid rgba(15,17,38, 0.5) !important;
bottom: 1px solid rgba(255,255,255, 0.3) !important;
Keyboard shortcut is a 2-way toggle but toolbar button is not. Can the button be used to close the sidebar also?
You may also want to note that local graphic files cannot be used for button images.
Edit 2:
Version 3, 1 or 4. Are you using an image or just CSS?
Edit3:
Background color & dividers working good. Still cannot use local graphic files.
Edit4:
It is working for me now by using : view image, alt + left click on image then alt + left click on button.
E5: Good work on your part filling my requests!

Here is a screen shot of my current FxDev66.

Both the left toolbar and sidebar have toggles on main toolbar. The sidebar menu is exposed by a hover at the top. It doesn't look as cluttered when it is full screen. Much script via Aris-t2 on Github.
Edit 7:
Piro's Tree Style Tab addon uses a toolbar button that toggles the sidebar. What is his secret?
Edit 8:
Working great! Thanks for indulging all my requests.
Edit 9:
Something to consider?

Edit 11: beta add-on Mobile Page Sidebar make the sidebar searches display more consistent.
Edit 12: See MyCroft Project for Search Engine info.

Edit 13: Potential update? Using ver. 5 alpha is working for me but it is inconvenient having to load it as a temporary extension after restarts.Developer response

Background color: no problem.
Instructions for image: tell me what you would write and i will use that.
Number of columns: add more columns or display less columns please explain.
Column wide spacer/divider: i don't know what that means please explain.
Sorry no support site, here is ok.
Edit:
Divider like this?

Edit 2:
Divider problem. It is too small to grab, drag or delete. Pick one here and tell me if you want an option to change color.

hr tag and css border style.
Edit 3:
Background color: done.
Divider: done.
Local image as button image: done (awkward for security reasons).
2-way toggle toolbar button: probably not for security reasons, reading Mozilla documentation.
Clean up and testing, new version in 3-4 days.
Edit 4:
That is strange it works for me. Lets try again.
Click browse button and select local image. Your image will appear under browse button. Right click image --> show image --> alt + left click button in sidebar.
Edit 5:
Just view image, alt + left click on button.
When you alt + left click on button, image in current tab is used as button image. The only thing in current tab must be one image you want to use, then alt + left click on button. Sorry i suck at instructions.
Edit: 6
I like your setup, looks great. I wish i could make 2-way toggle toolbar button or toggle on hover, but it can't be done with an addon. Mozilla says - To follow the principle of "no surprises", APIs like this can only be called from inside the handler for a user action. -
Edit: 7
I stopped trying when i read that line ^.
I guess i was wrong, i will try again.
Edit: 8
Toolbar button that toggles the sidebar: done.
V3 uploaded.
Edit: 9
Try this.

Edit:
Creating a new add-on.
This is going to take a looooooooong time.
Check for new add-on next month.
