About this extension
Sidetrack keeps your music in the sidebar while you browse.
Privacy: your playlists stay in your browser. Rooms connect browsers directly (WebRTC, encrypted), so room members can see each other's IP address. Details: https://github.com/tom-tour/sidetrack#privacy
- Local playlists: paste a YouTube video or a whole public playlist, reorder, unfold chapters, shuffle
- Plays in a hidden tab: the music goes on even with the sidebar closed
- Blind test, alone or in a room: hidden video, random start or random chapter, timed clips, hangman-style hints, points scored automatically or by a quizmaster
- Rooms (🌐): create or join by name, public rooms listed; friends join with a link, no install needed. Watch in sync with a chat
- Kick, ban or block through a person card; signed identities with a 4-character code
- Ready-made playlists (official uploads only), backup to a file, export to YouTube
- No account, no server of ours, no analytics. English and French
