Preview of AI Bookmark Organizer

AI Bookmark Organizer by Graftware

AI Bookmark Organizer sorts a messy bookmark collection into a folder structure you can actually browse. Open it from the Firefox sidebar, pick your categories, and let AI file everything into subfolders for you.

About this extension
WHAT IT DOES
• Sorts bookmarks into your chosen categories, then creates subfolders from the bookmarks themselves. Or let it suggest the categories for you.
• Folder detail adapts to your collection, with Compact, Medium (the default) and Detailed levels and an optional third level of folders for larger groups.
• Re-files stray bookmarks into the closest existing subfolder, so fewer are left loose in a top-level folder.
• Sorts links by title, date added, or website. A date-based mode works without AI.
• Removes duplicate URLs from your bookmarks, keeping the oldest saved copy. No API key needed for this.
• Keeps the original date each bookmark was added.
• Works on your live bookmarks, or on an exported bookmarks HTML file that you download once finished.

EVERY RUN IS SAVED
Each organized result is kept in the extension, so you can download it later, even after closing the sidebar or restarting Firefox. A Previous runs list shows when each run happened, how many bookmarks and categories it held, and where it came from. Download any run, or delete the ones you don't want.

SAFE BY DEFAULT
Before it changes your browser bookmarks, it downloads an HTML backup. Organized bookmarks go into a new dated folder under Other Bookmarks, so your existing folders stay where they are.

HOW TO USE IT
1. Open the extension and add a free API key from Google AI Studio, or an OpenRouter key. Links to both are in the extension.
2. Choose your categories and folder detail.
3. Organize your browser bookmarks, or upload an exported bookmarks file.

PRIVACY
No account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server run by the developer. Your API key is stored in Firefox storage on your device. When you organize with AI, bookmark titles and URLs are sent directly to the provider you chose (Google or OpenRouter) so they can be sorted. Nothing goes anywhere else.

Requires Firefox 115 or newer and your own API key.
