by Firefox user 13652450, 7 years agoHi Drive4ik,
Thank you so much for your work and efforts to provide a replacement under FF 57 for the Tab Groups Helper Add-on! Firefox is useless to me without a functioning Tab Groups extension, and this at least got me back up and running.
Having said that, I am hoping you can find time (in between all of your development work!! :) ) to respond to a few questions:
1) Is there a way to bookmark *all* tabs in *all* groups, or any plans to add that functionality? This is utterly essential to me (and I would assume to many others). This was available in Tab Groups Helper under the "More" option on the Groups Bar menu. So far I can only bookmark all tabs within a single group. (Note: I typically have many groups open, so bookmarking them all individually, while possible, is not a great solution.)
2) Any plans to add a Groups Bar similar to the one in Tab Groups Helper? That makes group management so much easier.
3) Would it be possible to add Drag-and-Drop functionality to re-order groups?
4) Would it be possible to default to renaming the new group at the time of creation? (again similar to Tab Groups Helper)
5) Are you aware of a Tab Count add-on that works with Simple Tab Groups? So far I haven't been able to find anything that shows the total number of tabs open, only by group. (Maybe this is a FF 57 issue / limitation...? Most of the tab count add-ons worked with Tab Groups Helper.)
Thanks again!!

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18979072, 24 days agoUnreliable at best. I don't consider any application worthy just because it works "sometimes". This extension repeatedly dumps all your tabs thus requiring you to restore them. No company in the world would put an application into use that was that unreliable, nor should you.
I don't understand the apologetics of those who think that just because something works sometimes, that it is still a worthy product. That is garbage and complacent thinking.
The application randomly and very frequently deletes all tab groups without warning.
It also creates back-ups but dumps those back ups in your download folder but it does not provide a mechanism for you to choose a more appropriate location.
So be prepared to have to restore your tabs from those back ups every few days. If this kind of silliness is "ok" to your thinking that's your business. But try that with Photoshop or the program you use for your personal finances. I imagine you would think differently.
The extension is not reliable and should not be trusted for use with anything important. You will lose data. - Rated 5 out of 5by Astraios911, 24 days agoThis is great, the only change I want is when using Firefox's new group system (not container). It doesn't hide the grouped tabs when switching to another group from this mod.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Quinnca77, a month agoThis add-on is crazy good. I used it every single day until Firefox introduced tab groups themselves, so I'd rather use the native solution than an extension, but if Firefox's tab groups seem to not work properly after all I know where I'll be coming back to.
Contrary to other reviews, I never had STG delete my tabs or anything like that. They have a backup option in case this happens, but since this isn't clearly communicated, people seem to be confused about the random STG backup folders appearing, or because they dont know about the backups they do not see a way to recover their tabs. If I had to remark on anything, it would be that this could be more clearly communicated.
Other than that, I highly recommend this extension. It's one of the best ones Firefox has to offer. - Rated 3 out of 5by fastjan, a month agoDay 3 and it wiped out all tabs (except one). Tabs on bookmark-backup gone, folders do remain. From restore backup, yesterdays backup didn't work (it showed that it would have the tabs, but nothing. 2 days ago backup did work.
Only automatic backup option is one-file-a-day (erases previous same day backup)
Update: seems like "yesterday"-backup worked after some other backup worked. - Rated 5 out of 5by Satria, a month ago
