About this extension
slop-chop removes the tells of AI writing from any text field in your browser. Focus a field, press the hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+U, or Cmd+Shift+U on Mac) or click the floating scissors button, and em dashes, buzzwords, and stock phrases get chopped in one pass. What comes back reads like a person wrote it. Everything runs locally. The rules engine is compiled to WebAssembly and lives inside the extension, so your text never leaves the browser. No account, no upload, no model in the loop. The same input always gives the same result. It cuts em dashes and other punctuation tics, buzzwords and filler like leverage, seamless, and robust, stock openers and hedging phrases, and doubled spaces and paste cruft. Make it yours. In the options, set your own voice: words to keep, swaps you prefer, and words to avoid. Pick a preset to control how aggressive the cleanup is. It works in text areas, inputs, and most rich editors, so it helps with email, posts, docs, and forms. Free and open source. More at slop-chop.com.
