About this extension
You open LinkedIn to see what your old coworker is up to. Instead you get a founder who learned everything about B2B sales from his toddler, a carousel with eleven rocket emoji, and a stranger asking you to read that again. You didn't need to read it the first time.
Slop Filter reads your feed as it loads and folds away the posts built from spare parts: "let that sink in," "here's the thing," "agree?", comment-GUIDE-and-I'll-send-it, and the hashtag walls holding it all up. What's left is what you signed up for. People you know, doing work they're proud of.
Every flagged post keeps a slim bar that names the exact phrase that got it caught. Open it anyway, change the rule, or get on with your day.
What it does
• Shows its work. Every flag names the phrase. No mystery scores.
• Takes requests. Edit any phrase, build your own categories, and decide how many emoji a post gets before it's flagged.
• Mutes repeat offenders. Hover the pig on a flagged post, hit Mute, and that person stops showing up. Changed your mind? Undo is right there.
• Protects your people. Anyone on your trusted list always comes through, slop and all.
• Hides LinkedIn's Promoted posts, and boosted partner posts if you want them gone too.
• Pauses when you need it. One switch, and the pig goes to sleep.
Everything happens in your browser. There's no account, no server, no tracking, and no AI reading your feed. AI learned to write like this by reading us, so Slop Filter catches the phrase whoever typed it.
(To be clear, LinkedIn should not be your favorite social network. It could just be a lot less exhausting.)
Not affiliated with LinkedIn.

Slop Filter matches phrases, not people. If it flags a post it shouldn't, edit or switch off that rule in Settings, or report it at https://github.com/theinstantwin/slop-filter/issues.
