Privacy policy for SlopBlocker
Last updated: October 28, 2026
SlopBlocker is a privacy-focused browser extension developed by Sandbox. It helps users identify and filter potentially low-quality, repetitive, and engagement-bait content across supported websites.
We believe your browsing experience should remain yours. SlopBlocker is designed to operate locally, without requiring accounts, external AI services, or the transmission of browsing content to our servers.
SlopBlocker analyzes supported webpage content directly within your browser to identify potentially unwanted posts.
Depending on your enabled settings, this may include:
- Text from supported social media posts and content cards.
- Content patterns used for filtering.
- Website and creator identifiers needed for trusted-content preferences.
- Content fingerprints used to recognize previously processed posts.
This processing takes place locally on your device.
SlopBlocker uses browser extension storage to remember:
- Filtering preferences and enabled websites.
- Trusted creators and websites.
- Content exceptions and feedback.
- Daily and lifetime filtering statistics.
- Content fingerprints for matching and duplicate prevention.
This information remains in your browser's local extension storage and is not transmitted to Sandbox.
SlopBlocker does not:
- Upload the text of your posts or webpages to external servers.
- Use cloud-based AI services to analyze your browsing activity.
- Sell or share your browsing data with advertisers.
- Include third-party analytics or tracking services.
- Require an account or personal information to use its filtering features.
SlopBlocker requests access to supported websites, including LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and YouTube, to analyze and filter content displayed on those pages.
Optional article scanning is initiated manually by the user.
Website permissions are used to provide the extension's filtering functionality, not to collect browsing histories.
Locally stored preferences, statistics, and filtering information remain on your device until they are cleared or the extension's local data is removed.
You can manage trusted content and filtering preferences through the extension's interface. Removing the extension also normally removes its associated local storage.
SlopBlocker operates on supported third-party websites but is not affiliated with those platforms.
Those websites maintain their own privacy policies and data practices, which SlopBlocker does not control.
SlopBlocker's companion website is separate from the browser extension and is not required for its operation.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in SlopBlocker's functionality or data practices.
Any introduction of external processing or additional data collection will require appropriate disclosure and, where required, user consent.
SlopBlocker is developed by Sandbox Works Ltd.
