Privacy Policy — Snap & Annotate
Snap & Annotate captures screenshots and lets you annotate them locally in your browser.
DATA COLLECTION
Snap & Annotate does NOT collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or screenshot content. There are no analytics, no tracking scripts, and no remote servers involved anywhere in the extension.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH YOUR DATA
• Screenshots you capture are held only in your browser's local storage, just long enough to hand the image from the capture step to the editor tab. Nothing is uploaded.
• Annotations you draw are rendered entirely on your device, on a canvas inside the extension's own editor page.
• Downloads are saved directly to your computer through your browser's own download mechanism; the extension never stores a copy elsewhere.
• Clipboard copies go directly from the editor to your operating system's clipboard via the browser's Clipboard API.
PERMISSIONS
• activeTab — access the current tab only when you click the icon or use a keyboard shortcut, to capture it and read its URL/title. No broad access to other sites.
• scripting — read that tab's scroll size and temporarily scroll it during full-page capture (visual only; no page content is read or stored beyond taking the screenshot).
• storage / unlimitedStorage — temporarily hold a captured image locally while passing it to the editor tab.
• downloads — save your annotated screenshot as a PNG file.
THIRD PARTIES
None. No analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs of any kind.
