- Rated 1 out of 5by Myself, 8 months agoI saw the most recent review was 5* but it seems the 3 year old reviews are still accurate. The button only works as a regular back button for me

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12632062, 4 years agoI loved this :-) when it was working in older Firefox or Waterfox versions (WF Classic), but sadly it doesn't work in Firefox fork Waterfox (G-3, neither did it in Waterfox Current). Just now it works like normal back one page arrow - one star only this far.

- Rated 1 out of 5by rafikiphoto, 6 years agoThe point of a button like this, for me, is to go back to the first page of the *domain* one started browsing. This button takes me back to the speed dial used to select the domain. Not useful at all.

- Rated 5 out of 5by GaryOB, 6 years agoI've been using this for a long time. Glad to see this version that works in the new FF. Waiting for Toolbar Buttons to be updated to work in the new FF.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12504516, 7 years agoIt works most of the times, but sometimes it only goes back one page. For example, if you are using Google Maps, this button only goes back one page, not to your startup page. I still have to click on the back arrow pull-down to go back all the way. At other times, it does nothing (for example, the page you are reading now, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/snap-back-button/reviews/ -- doesn't go back at all).
- Rated 5 out of 5by ebrown2112, 7 years agoWorks as advertised. Only issue is the title in the Add-ons Manager has a typo: Snatp Back.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12765412, 7 years agomight be super-usefull for malicious code.
use-case: webpage1 --> user goes to --> webpage2 (with malicious code) --> which redirects them to --> maliciouswebpage (which prevents going back to "webpage1" or "2". time will show, but i think other user-cases are also possible.
follows a philosophy "to do 1 thing, and to do it well" - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13356211, 7 years agoa good feature option would be if there is no back history, close tab instead
Developer response
posted 7 years agoCan't reliable do that right now. I am going to have to write a patch for Firefox to better support what this extension does, and then I can add such features. Trying to get another patch into Firefox for another extension right now, but I might try this one next.
