posted 8 years agoSorry you're having trouble with it. Though v3 is a small subset of the v2 (because it's a rewrite from the ground up) it does work for the basic functionality. v2 will no longer work with future versions of FF as XUL based plugins are being phased out.
One thing you might be running into is Content Security Policy which you can see by bringing up the console (via F12). For example on addons.mozilla.org you'll see something like: "Content Security Policy: The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource at" in your console. This is not something I'm able to do anything about at this time and the plugin will not work on sites like that. To my knowledge addons.mozilla.org is the only site I've seen this at.
At any rate, a few people have chosen to stick with v2 for now, if I find the time to continue development on it I will.
Also, if you want to check on bugs/features you can do that on github. If there isn't already an issue raised there that's what you are experiencing, opening a ticket there will let the developer(s) track the issue towards resolution.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17131595, 6 days agoI do love the addon, but the not working part is getting worse. Yes, putting it up to 120% helps a little, but I dont want to live in 120%, nor should I have to for an addon to work, imo. Been really frustrating trying to get this to work without popping links when I do not want it to, or completely not being able to capture them at all.

Please allow Ctrl+right click and other editing operations. - Rated 5 out of 5by JBro, 3 months agoThis handy tool has changed the way I browse the net. Everything is so multi-tasking now, and this just makes it so much simpler. Works flawlessly.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Tyrone, 5 months agoThe only reason why I rate this 4 and not 5 is because of my ADHD, I keep forgetting it exists, so if you could allow this addon to be pinned to the toolbar, it would significantly help. Thank you!

- Rated 5 out of 5by forest, 9 months agoexcellent tool. clear, concise, with visible indicators of what you're selecting. doesn't get in the way of browsing. feels intuitive. easy to use.
- Rated 4 out of 5by turkbro, 10 months agowould be great if it had different shortcut options for copying links or opening links in new tabs. that "ctrl after selection" option is not working.

- Rated 5 out of 5by sker, a year agoAfter firefox update certain websites such as Youtube would now scroll down when right-clicking. Removing extension solves problem, re-adding extension brings it back.
p.s. found a workaround - extension works fine with 120% page scale (and some others, but not any. try different and find what works for you) - Rated 5 out of 5by David_R, a year agoThe best link manager around.
However, in May 2024, a problem started to occur, where copying links down a long page, would begin to auto-scroll very fast; since SnapLinks hasn't had a recent update, I'm guessing this is caused by a recent Firefox update.
Therefore, if you have this happen, don't blame SnapLinks. Just hope the author notices this & works out a fix. I'd rather not go to a new extension, but this behaviour is very annoying. Still, 5 stars for what it actually does! - Rated 5 out of 5by Armand, a year ago
