the solstone extension works with the solstone app on your computer, and sol pbc's privacy policy covers it: https://solpbc.org/privacy#browser
what it reads, where it goes, and what stays in your browser are described there in full. in short: on a site you add, it takes in the page's text and rough layout, the page's address without anything after a ? or #, its title, when you were on it, and the sites its links point to, and on a mail or chat site, your messages, including words you've typed there but haven't sent. nothing leaves Firefox except to the solstone app on the same computer, and from there it goes into your own journal. it reaches sol pbc only through a hosted service you turn on, as with everything else the solstone app takes in. the extension connects to nothing on the internet, and we run no analytics in it.
