You might need to register an account on acrcloud. Payments/credit card not required.


To try it out:

1. Go to a website with video or audio, like youtube, for example.
2. Start playing the video/audio
3. Hit the addon button and you should see status bar with the countdown (see screenshots).
   • Some websites, like Soundcloud, serve media differently, it won't work on those and the status bar will not appear then.

If you're going to use it a lot, then I please make your own account at acrcloud.com and get 100 free ID's every day, just for yourself. This way you won't overburden the default account. Check out the add-on preferences page - there's more information there.

A '3003' error means that the default account, associated with this extension, has used up all its ID's for the day. There's nothing you can personally do about this, except wait for tomorrow or create your own account as described earlier.


Permission x? Why?

*://*.acrcloud.com/v1/identify
- This is the thingy doing the recognizing. The audio gets sent there.

"Hidden" permissions that don't show up on add-on's page:

Active Tab
- To "see" the music playing. Used when you click the tool bar button

Storage
- The options page has some settings that need to be saved if you edit them
