The Firefox add-on bundles its new-tab interface locally. It stores a local offline copy of the signed-in user's sanitized dashboard and refreshes it only through speedgrid.app and www.speedgrid.app. Its content script does not run on unrelated websites. A Quick Save action sends only the HTTP or HTTPS URL the user deliberately selects. Search terms go directly to the user's Firefox default search provider and are not sent to SpeedGrid. Signing out on SpeedGrid clears the add-on's local dashboard copy.

SpeedGrid does not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising. Data is used only to provide, sync, secure, support, and improve the disclosed SpeedGrid service.
