Older versions
Version 0.7.0
Released Oct 25, 2026 - 113.22 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterWhat's New in Version 0.7.0:
- Hover Preview Layering Over Pinned Streams:
Hover preview overlays now consistently render above existing pinned stream popups. When hovering over another channel in the sidebar or browse page, the hover window always takes top z-index priority above any pinned windows.
- Compact Segmented Settings Interface:
Redesigned the settings popup into a streamlined 3-tab segmented layout (General, Borders, Audio). Reduces the popup vertical height footprint by approximately 50% (down to ~290px–310px) to completely eliminate scrolling in standard views while preserving all settings, sliders, and controls.
- Distinct Tab Navigation:
Features an inset navigation track with elevated pill cards and smooth state transitions, making the active section immediately recognizable. Automatically saves and restores the last viewed tab across sessions.
- Hover Preview Border Control:
Added an independent toggle to configure borders specifically on hover preview windows in addition to the Play Together tiling borders.
- Solid Bottom Window Borders:
Fixed an issue where downward drop shadows dimmed the bottom edge of hover and pinned popups. All four borders (top, bottom, left, right) now render with 100% solid, crisp color.
- Seamless Fullscreen Tiling:
Eliminated the bottom seam during Play Together multi-view mode where the underlying webpage could previously be seen. Stream windows now tile flush to the bottom edge with a dedicated black fullscreen backdrop.
- Refined Settings Organization:
Relocated the "Show quality & speed badge in header" option into the General tab alongside trigger scope and platform controls for intuitive discovery.Source code released under MIT License

Version 0.6.6
Released Oct 8, 2026 - 111.76 KBWorks with firefox 58.0 and laterWhat's New in Version 0.6.6:
- Stream Quality & Bandwidth Presets:
Introduced selectable stream quality presets in the popup settings (Lite 480p, Dynamic, and Auto) to optimize preview loading, reduce bandwidth, and lower memory consumption.
- Security Hardening & Input Sanitization:
Hardened player frame injection by replacing dynamic script string evaluation with static execution and dataset attributes, adding strict alphanumeric input sanitization to ensure complete CodeQL and Mozilla security compliance.
- Early Quality Locking & Smooth Playback:
Resolved video stalling and mid-stream resolution switching (e.g. 480p jumping to 720p and back) by locking target quality upfront before adaptive bitrate changes, preventing buffer flushes and video stutter.
- Header Quality & Latency Badge Toggle:
Added live stream resolution and load latency stats badge to preview headers (e.g. "480p · 0.45s") with a dedicated toggle in popup settings ("Show quality & speed badge in header") to customize header density.
- Autoplay & Startup Reliability:
Improved media player initialization and audio handling so muted previews start playback immediately without stalling or freezing.Source code released under MIT License

Multi-Stream Play Together with Main Stream:
Expanded main stream integration on active Twitch and Kick channel pages to support 1, 2, or 3 pinned popups:
1 pinned popup + main stream: 2-stream 50/50 split.
2 pinned popups + main stream: 3-stream theater layout (main stream stage left, 2 stacked secondary popups right).
3 pinned popups + main stream: 4-stream 2x2 grid (main stream top-left).
The main stream tile automatically inherits the active volume and mute state of the host player upon entering tiled mode.
Background Audio Muting for 4 Pinned Streams:
When tiling 4 pinned streams (the maximum 4-tile layout limit), the host stream is excluded from the grid, and its background playback audio is automatically muted to prevent audio bleed-through.
Exiting tiled mode immediately restores the host video's prior volume and mute state.
Tile Close & Lifecycle Management:
Closing individual tiles while in tiled mode keeps background host audio muted as long as tiled mode remains active.
If the main stream tile is closed while other popups remain tiled, its latest volume state is saved and the background video remains muted until all tiled windows are exited.
Automatically restores host stream audio and returns to floating mode if the tiled window count drops below 2.
Dynamic Tooltips:
Action tooltips dynamically adapt to the current setup, displaying Dual+ with Main Stream (<channel>) (T), Play Together (<N> Streams) with Main Stream (<channel>) (T), or Play Together (Fill Screen) (T).Source code released under MIT License
Version 0.5.7
Released Oct 5, 2026 - 101.2 KBWorks with firefox 109.0a1 and laterv0.5.7
- Video Playback Stability Fix: Resolved video stall issues and error recovery loops caused by event listener collisions in iframe player contexts.
- Removed Button Click Simulation: Eliminated programmatic mute button clicking on Twitch and Kick, preventing infinite MutationObserver click loops and background telemetry upload requests.
- Native Twitch Proxy Protocol: Uses the official Twitch Embed Player Proxy postMessage protocol for reliable volume and mute control without altering React DOM elements.
- Clean Host Video Muting in Dual+: When activating Dual+ from an active stream page, the underlying host video is cleanly muted rather than paused, preventing buffer underruns, live edge desync, and reconnect dropouts.
- One-Shot Content Warning Gate: Restricted content overlay dismissal to a single execution per preview instance to prevent mutation thrashing.Source code released under MIT License
Version 0.5.5

- Kick Audio Handling: Added direct video element audio synchronization and native mute control tracking for Kick stream embeds.
- Enhanced Permissions Policy: Updated iframe media permissions to support unrestricted autoplay, encrypted-media (EME), and picture-in-picture decoding.
- Reliable Content Script Injection: Ensured extension player scripts reliably execute across all nested stream embed contexts.
