- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14987744, 2 years agoThis add-on is my daily companion when accessing ChatGPT (I have a Pro account) and saved me tons of time. The search function alone is so helpful, and I love that the developer constantly improves the app.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12214518, 2 years agoWhenever I restart Firefox, it takes 20+ minutes to complete the synchronization.

posted 2 years agoHi. Thanks for reporting this. Not sure exactly what is happening in your case. The sync feature uses your local storage. That means as long as you don't delete the extension, the chats should already be there once they are synced for the first time. Restarting browser should not reset your sync state. If this issue keeps happening, feel free to join our Discord to share some screenshot and get faster support https://discord.gg/Ma9VpTSct2 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firer, 2 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Vluxcl0us, 2 years agoI haven't actually tried it out yet, but from what I can see from the features & screenshots, this is already fire. I'll update my review if they live up to my and everyone else's expectations.

- Rated 2 out of 5by mistafisha, 2 years agoDoesn't seem to work on Firefox the same as it does on Chrome.
- Rated 5 out of 5by username, 2 years agoEdit: Thank you for the reply! The sync button does in fact do what I was looking for, sorry!
Extension works great, if you have problems continuing chats from across different devices read the developer's response.

posted 2 years agoThanks for the feedback. Syncing conversations between multiple devices is a bit tricky due to the fact that synced conversations are saved locally. That being said, the sync button at the bottom right is designed in a way that if you click on it it does two things:
1- It looks at your list of conversations and compares the id of each chat with the list of conversation ids from ChatGPT. If there is a missing chat id in your local version, it will automatically downloads it from ChatGPT and sync your local chats.
2- Whatever chat you are looking at when you click on the sync button, will automatically get overwritten by what is saved on ChatGPT. That means that if you make changes on your phone and then want to continue the same conversation on your desktop, all you need to do, is to go to that chat, then click on the sync button to download the latest version of that chat.
You are probably thinking why do I not sync all chats "AND THE MESSAGES INSIDE EACH CHAT" without needing you to click on the sync button. The answer is, to do a deep sync of all chats, it requires me to download every single chat and compare it with what you have locally, and do that within the first few seconds of you logging in to ChatGPT. With the current rate-limiting that ChatGPT applies, this is technically not possible. If I try to download every chat to compare them you will get rate limited very quickly. So the easiest way is to just let the user decide which chat needs to be updated due to changes on other device. All you need to do, is to click on the sync button while you are on that specific chat, and that should guarantee that you have the latest version of that chat.
Hope that helps. - Rated 4 out of 5by coreyb42, 2 years agoI love being able to export my chats. The search feature is nice, but the syncing doesn't work properly. If I start a chat on one device and continue it on another, the record on the first device becomes stale and there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it. I tried logging out and in, and hitting the sync button a few times, but nothing worked until I completely disabled auto-sync. Gonna have to keep it that way until this is fixed, unfortunately. Again, love the search functionality, though, so hopeful that syncing can be a bit more robust.
Edit: re: The reply - dang. I guess I would like to be able to configure it to use an additive sync so I can continue the same conversation on multiple devices.Developer response
posted 2 years agoEdit: I wrote a longer response to the review above related to sync between devices. I think that should also be helpful to you. Please take a look.
Thanks for the feedback. What you described is not a bug but a feature of Auto Sync. With Auto Sync feature ON, your chats are saved locally on your own computer to protect your privacy. If you are using multiple device, each device will have it's own storage which can cause the history to look a bit different on each device. That being said, I'm adding another check to improve the reliability of the sync. - Rated 5 out of 5by SpiceEdge, 2 years agoBest ChatGPT extension at the moment. Best features, amazing QOL. Good developer.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Night, 2 years agoOne of the best ChatGPT addons out there. There's lots of features and the dev keeps updating the addon constantly.
Would highly recommend giving it a try. - Rated 4 out of 5by Onurtag, 2 years agoPlease add an option to turn off opening multiple new tabs every time the addon updates.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Kenric Ashe, 2 years agoAdd export markdown to clipboard option (or display in a pre-selected text area where I can Ctrl+C) and I'll give it 5 stars! By the way, did ChatGPT assist you in coding this? Haha!

posted 2 years agoThis is kinda hidden, but when you click on the export button, it will automatically save it in your clipboard in the format you selected. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14733564, 2 years agoUpdated review: I think it's working now much better and even with sync turned on it seems to be stable. Keep up the good work and thanks for the fast updates!
A feature I'd love to see in addition to the preset prompts like "Continue" would be similar presets that get added to the text box as a prefix. So I could do something simple like "My Name: " as the prefix, type my message and the final prompt would be "My name: message".
Old review:Unfortunately your last 'local sync' update broke my ChatGPT completely and I can't input anything anymore or the outputs get randomly nuked or whatever. I had to remove the whole extension. I don't really care for that functionality so it would be nice to be able to toggle it off. Otherwise, it was nice when it did work.Developer response
posted 2 years agoUpdate: I'm changing the Continue button behavior a little bit. Starting in the next version, if you have some text in the input before you click on the "continue" button, instead of replacing the text with the "continue" prompt, the "continue" prompt will be appended to the end of the text. Also, with the next version, if you want to edit the prompt before running it, you can shift+click on the continue button, and it will insert the prompt without running it immediately. So for your case, you can basically shift+click to insert the prompt as prefix, then type your message.
Old response: Thanks for reporting. I have fixed a bunch of bugs and updated the extension. Please give it a try again and let me know you still have issues. Thank you!
