This VPN has the ability to connect to many DIFFERENT VPN SERVERS at the same time ON THE SAME MACHINE. Here's how it work. First, you should have the PC app auto-connect. Then, you don't even need a browser extension. If you install an extension, when the extension says "unconnected" what it really means is IT'S CONNECTED TO THE DEFAULT SERVER if your PC client is already connected. What you can do now is connect to ANOTHER VPN server using the extension. If you have 5 different brands of browsers installed, then you can connect to FIVE different servers around the world AT THE SAME TIME! I've tried it and it works. That's absolutely amazing and this is a seriously cool piece of software technology if you understand how it works... If you don't, then you just think that it's not working. Go ahead- test it out yourself using different "what's my IP" websites.
Short summary: The extension is for the ability to open up multiple VPN connections on the same computer. If you don't need to do that, don't install the extension. You don't need to put in another pipe, and doing so apparently cost some kind of performance penalty based on my testing- Just use the PC application. - Rated 5 out of 5by Atma, 5 years ago
