1) What data the Extension accesses
When you click a shorten button in the Extension popup, the Extension accesses:
• The URL of the currently active tab (http/https pages only)
• The selected link style (for example, “obvious” or “subtle”)

The Extension does not continuously read your browsing activity in the background. It only acts when you trigger it.

2) What data is transmitted
To create a short link, the Extension sends a request to the configured API endpoint (default: https://suslnk.com) with:
• The page URL you chose to shorten
• The selected style

As with normal web requests, the receiving server may also process technical metadata such as IP address, user-agent, and request timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and service operation.

3) Local/browser storage
The Extension stores only its settings in browser storage (for example, your configured API base URL).
This setting may sync across your browser profile if your browser sync feature is enabled.

4) How data is used
Data is used to:
• Generate and return shortened links
• Operate and secure the shortening service
• Prevent abuse (such as rate-limit enforcement)

5) Data sharing
We do not sell personal data.
Data may be processed by infrastructure providers required to run the service (for example, hosting/network providers), only as needed to provide the service.

6) Retention
Submitted URLs and generated short-link records may be stored by the shortening backend so redirects continue to work.
Operational/security logs may also be retained for a limited period.

If you configure a different API endpoint, that endpoint’s retention/privacy practices apply.

7) Your choices
You can:
• Choose a different API endpoint in Extension settings
• Stop using the Extension at any time
• Remove the Extension to stop future data transmission
• Clear extension/browser data via your browser settings

8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date.
