About this extension
Send tabs and links from Firefox to Chrome with a single right-click.
IMPORTANT: Tab Ferry needs a small, free helper app on your computer (Windows 10/11 only). Browsers can't open other browsers on their own, so the helper receives the link from Firefox and opens it in Chrome. After installing the add-on, a welcome page walks you through setting it up.
Download the helper: https://github.com/DZhang3210/chrome-firefox-tab-switcher/releases/latest
HOW TO USE
• Right-click anywhere on a page (or on a tab) → "Send to Chrome". The page opens in Chrome and the Firefox tab closes.
• Right-click a link → "Open link in chrome" to open just that link.
• Click the Tab Ferry icon in the toolbar to check that the helper is installed and up to date.
SETUP
1. Install this add-on. A welcome page opens with the next steps.
2. Download and run TabFerrySetup.exe from the link above. No admin rights are needed.
3. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" → "Run anyway". The installer isn't code-signed yet; the helper is open source, so you can check the code first.
PRIVACY
Tab Ferry collects no data. The only thing it sends is the URL of the tab or link you choose, and only to the helper app on your own computer, which passes it straight to Chrome. Nothing is sent over the internet.
UNINSTALLING
Removing the add-on doesn't remove the helper app. To remove it as well, click the Tab Ferry icon → "Uninstall helper app" before removing the add-on, or go to Windows Settings → Apps → Tab Ferry Helper at any time.
